Grandpa and Olivia on the Slide- From Instagram

Elizabeth’s parents came for a quick visit Memorial Day weekend. We spent one afternoon in the park. We took this series of photos and when they were automatically uploaded for my Google Plus account, it automatically created this gif (which, according to the creator is supposed to be pronounced with a “j” sound). Pretty simple but fun easter egg:

Olivia and Mommy reading their books

Getting into the warmer weather has been a lot of fun. For mother’s day we got Elizabeth these chairs for our porch. Since then, we’ve gotten Olivia a little purple chair and two shade umbrellas to help keep cool in the afternoon hours.
Not only that, but today (June 8), we’ve also added some strawberry and basil plants to theĀ gardeniasĀ in the corner. It’s become quite the homey space!

A Day Out with Thomas.

We had quite the little adventure driving out to Heber. For fun we took Big Cottonwood canyon and Guardsman’s Pass. Once you get to the summit and start heading down, the road, no doubt due to the extreme weather it sees–is quite degraded to almost entirely gravel for the first little bit.

The Heber Creeper had Thomas attached to it, and there was a number of Thomas-themed activities on the premises. We played with toy trains, blew bubbles, ate lunch and then rode the Heber creeper. It was a fun Saturday adventure with the kids.
