#inktober | Day 17, “Battle” There is an episode from the Book of Mormon where the two major tribes are warring with each other. One general masses a giant propaganda campaign, firing up his people to hatred against the other tribe. The general of the other tribe goes to work preparing their weakest cities: digging out moats and on top of the displaced dirt building wood works with pickets and towers. This level of preparation had never been seen among them before. When it came time for battle, the armies of the first general turned and tried to find another city less fortified in the land. This weak city had become strong. I think life is like that: if you want to achieve something in battle that’s never been done before, you got to do something that’s never been done before. By being deliberate and systematic in your focus on your goals, you can achieve great things through a series of small and simple acts. #inktober2016 #bookofmormon
